Our Apartment

 Our apartment is so cute.  We spent 2 1/2 days getting settled into it and making if feel like home.  


The Kitchen.  It has all new appliances.  

This is the Living Room and Dinning Area.  




Our Office, where we study.


And our bedroom.


There are 2 bathrooms and 
we even have our own washer and dryer.



It's such a cute plaace, we feel at home already.

Our sweet Sisters

 The week of June 16 - June 22 Transfer week.  We picked up these sweet sisters at the Hotel to take them to the airport to go home.  We were taking 4 of the sisters early and then come back for 3 others later.  They were having breakfast when we got there we let them finish and then I said, "Okay, it's time to go."  They hugged each other over and over again.  Then they did one big group hug and when I walked over to them, they were praying together right there in the hotel breakfast room.  It was the sweetest thing.  A few tears and we were off to the airport. The Dodges came, a senior couple working at the Family History Library and Sister Cannon came, a single senior sister working in the office.   Friday we went back to Hillsboro to finish us the  apartment.  I was not looking forward to cleaning it.  It has felt so dirty and gross when we were there last week, I didn't want to do it.  Right before we left I rem...

A Ceiling Falling in and Dinner Rolls being thrown at us

 Week of June 2 - June 8 Our plan was to move the Sikeston Sisters into their new apartment on Thursday.  We had it all set up.  The Elders from the town next to them were coming, the Elders Quorum President and a few others from the Ward were all meeting us at the apartment at 10:30 on Thursday.  Perfect, we were ready to go and get it all done in one day. Wednesday night around dinner time, Dan said a couple of times, "I'm not feeling very good."  But I didn't really think too much about it.  Then at 9:00 he told me he had been having chest pains and they seem to be getting worse.  I told him we should probably go to the ER .  No, he didn't want to, just yet.  I went to sleep about 10:00 and about 10:30, he woke me up and said, "I think we should go."  The pains hd gotten worse.  So we got to the hospital about 11:00 pm.  They did EKG and blood tests and said they felt like he should stay over night.  They hadn't see...

Closing and Cleaning Apartments

 Week of February 3 - 9 After Staff Meeting Elder Connell, who is a part time Service Missionary, talked with us.  He has been helping Sister Davis with Finances, but she doesn't really need his help anymore, so he asked if he could help us.  YES, PLEASE!!!!  He is really good with computer things and knows a lot about contracts and stuff.  He made a contract landlord list for all the apartments that is going to be really helpful.  He's gone through and put all the leases into the computer, that was supposed to be done a year ago. We think we will ask him next week to take over handling all the emails, which consist of leases and insurance.  He really is an answer to our prayers.  We needed to go to Walmart and buy some supplies that Sisters have asked us for and then we went over to the Storage Unit.  We packed up a few things to take with us for tomorrow's trip to Springfield.
