Christmas and a Moving Day
With our new assignment to be the Housing Coordinators we needed to be in the office as much as we could, to learn our new responsibilities. So Monday morning we headed over and spent the day learning! I thought my brain was going to explode.
Tuesday was Christmas Eve and we wanted to spend some time with some of the less active friends we have made. So we went to Andrews house and gave him a little nativity. He teared up when he saw it. He always tries to be a hard guy, but he has the softest heart ever. Debbie Craig was working so we went over to the Eckhart's farm and talked with her. I had bought her a nativity also. She was very appreciative and happy. Lastly we went by Robert Taylors house and we had gotten him a Big Foot Blanket. He loved it! Shed a few tears there too. These three have become very special to us.
Christmas morning Jane called us early! She was so excited about Santa coming and wanted us to see everything. It was so fun. Danny called a little later and the kids got to show us their stash. Then Shelly's family called and we got to talk to each of the boys and see there fun Christmas. Rob texted a few times during the day. Love those kids.
That afternoon Brother and Sister Waidmann and Madelyn Waidmann came over to our apartment for dinner. We had such a great visit with them. What a wonderful Christmas we have had.
Thursday and Friday we spent in the office learning more. Then at about 2:00 Friday afternoon, we went over to our new apartment, got the keys and started moving in.
Saturday was spent moving in and getting organized. The Davis's, one of the other senior couples that live right by us came over and invited us for dinner. I was so thankful to not have to worry about dinner. We had a great dinner with them. Sister Davis is the finance person in the office and Elder Davis is the Mission Doctor.
Good-bye Apartment...we love you!

Sunday we went back over to our Ward in Fairview Heights. Everyone was so happy and excited to see us. It made us feel really good. President McKay wants the Fairview Heights to be our home Ward, so I guess we'll be driving over every Sunday. I'm glad, I wasn't ready to really say good bye to them yet.
Sunday was also our 48th Wedding Anniversary! Happy Anniversary to us.
