Christmas Zone Conference
Monday we started in the office learning about a few of our responsibilities we will need to learn in preparation for our weekly staff meeting with the President and his wife. I was feeling overwhelmed! After our meeting we met with President McKay and he answered a few questions we had.
Tuesday was a Christmas Zone Conference! It was really special. President and Sister McKay and about 15 missionaries did a wonderful program, reading and singing about Joseph Smith. The spirit was so strong. We then had a big lunch. Ham, yummy potatoes, vegetables, salad, rolls and cake for dessert. It was great. After lunch the missionaries played Minute To Win It games, Zone against Zone. It was wild and so much fun!!
Wednesday we were back in the office learning more about contracts and then went over to the Storage Unit and saw all that was in there. Lots of furniture and supplies for the missionaries.
Thursday we stayed home and baked. We made up 35 bags of treats to give out to those that we have been working with.
That afternoon we started delivering them.
Sister Patricia Traynor and Shadow her cat.
Friday, there was a Senior Couple Christmas Party at the Mission Home. So we headed back over to St. Louis. It was so fun to see all the senior missionaries and get to know them. I was surprised that I knew a lot of them. We had a lovely dinner and then President asked each of us to tell about what kinds of activities our families like to do. It was fun to get to know about each others families.
Saturday we finished up our deliveries and got to visit with several of our friends.
Us 4 Sister Missionaries in our Ward
Sister Ball, Sister Waidmann, Sister Beesley and Sister Garner
Sunday at church they announced that we were moving to St. Louis. There was an audible gasp and cry of NO. It made me feel good in a way but terrible in other ways. We are going to miss this Ward so much. Even though President has said we can come back, I think it's going to be hard to do it every week. We'll see how things go. After church so many people came up to us and hugged us and told us how much they were going to miss us. Well, the Howe's called us tonight and are really anxious for us to start taking over our responsibilities. I'm scared but I know the Lord will help us. I feel like I'm starting a whole new mission.
