A Missionary Grandson and Easter

 Week of April 14 - 20

Monday we had a short staff meeting.  President and Sister McKay were headed off to a week long Mission President Conference in Kansas.  That afternoon the Bryan's invited us over for dinner.  they have made friends with a non member couple and they were coming for dinner too.  It was a fun evening.

Tuesday, Dan had a Physical Therapy appointment in the morning and then we spent the day in the office.  We had a 6:00 temple Endowment appointment that evening and then got home just in time to log into a Zoom Chat with the Nielsen's.  Jonnie got his mission call!  It was so fun to be part of his opening his letter.  They had a whole house full of friends over.  He is going to Chile!!  That's where his mom went!  How fun is that.  He  starts on September 1, so we will be able to see him before he leaves.  I am so happy about that.

On Wednesday the Bryan's offered to help us in doing what ever we needed help with.  So we took them up on it and went over to the Storage Unit and they helped us get it a little more organized.  It was such a big help.  After we had lunch together at a Mexican Restaurant.  It made cleaning the storage unit so much easier and fun.

Elder Bryan is such a character

Thursday, I spent the day in the office and Dan went out and delivered a few things to missionaries.  It's kind of nice when we can do that, we get so much more done in a day but I really like going out to see the missionaries.

Friday we were in the office again in the morning and then in the afternoon we ran errands.

Saturday we went over to Fairview Heights and went to Larry Miller's baptism.  It was wonderful.  We got to be in one of the discussions with him and he is golden.

Easter Sunday.  We only had Sacrament Meeting this day.  Dan was asked to Confirm Larry.  He felt so privileged to be able to do that. After church we went over and visited with Andrew and then Robert.  I brought them each a little Easter basket with some treats in them.  That evening we had dinner with our Senior Missionary Couples at the Bryan's.  It was a great day!

Easter Baskets I made for each of the couples for Easter.
