Cardinals Game

 Week of June 21-27

Thursday night we got to go to the Cardinals Game with the mission.  The missionaries had been asked to sing on the ball field "God Bless America" before the game stated.  So all the missionaries that lived with in a certain distance were invited to come and sing.  Once the game started they were up in the bleaches with members that had come also.  It was a "JustServe Night" at the game.  So there were lots of members and the missionaries were spread out among them.  The area President was there also.  He and the mission President got together and decided it would be fun for the missionaries to sing "Called to Serve" in the middle of one of the innings.  So they all stood and sang.  Lots of the members stood up and sang with them.  It was so fun.  It just so happen we were sitting next to President and his wife.  He is so fun and joking with the Elders.  It made for a real fun evening..










Saturday morning we got a call from the Elders in Moberly, 2 1/2 hours away.  They had BEDBUGS!  Yikes.  I was really hoping we would make it home before we had to deal with bedbugs.  We gave them lots of instructions and hoped that would get rid of them.  But probably not.....

Our sweet Sisters

 The week of June 16 - June 22 Transfer week.  We picked up these sweet sisters at the Hotel to take them to the airport to go home.  We were taking 4 of the sisters early and then come back for 3 others later.  They were having breakfast when we got there we let them finish and then I said, "Okay, it's time to go."  They hugged each other over and over again.  Then they did one big group hug and when I walked over to them, they were praying together right there in the hotel breakfast room.  It was the sweetest thing.  A few tears and we were off to the airport. The Mission Call

We got notification of our mission call as I was getting on a plane to Utah to visit two of my High School girl friends.  I was so excited!! But ... I really wanted to be with Dan when we opened our letter, so we decided to wait till I got home in 3 days to open it.  It was all planned and the kids were ready to Zoom and watch us open it when my flight got delayed for three hours.  That put me home around 11:00pm.  So we went with play B and set it up for the next morning.  All the kids were on line as we opened our up mission call. WE ARE HEADED TO  THE MISSOURI, ST. LOUIS MISSION!! Stay tuned for great adventures to come!

A Hymn Testimony and an answer to Prayer

Week of May 19 - 25 Zone Conference Week. I was called on to share my Hymn testimony at Zone Conference.  A Hymn testimony is a your testimony using only lines from the Hymn's.  It was actually harder to do than I thought it would be.  But here's mine.
